Hello everyone, I hope you are finding my blog interesting. As i said in my last blog in this post I will be discussing about the history of Teen Murti Bhavan. HISTORY Teen Murti Bhavan was built in 1930 for the Commander-in-Chief of the British Indian Army . He had the second highest post in the Army. It was at that time called "the Flagstaff House". When India gained independence, the Britishers emptied the place.  Then Jawaharlal Nehru, our first Prime Minister, he accepted the Flagstaff House as his residence. From then it is called the Teen Murti Bhavan. Teen Murti Named after the 3 life-sized statues which stands in-front of the gates of Teen Murti Bhavan. Made in 1922 (made 7 years prior to the building). These statues are made of stone and bronze. Leonardo Jennings was the sculptor. Hello everyone, In my last post I talked about my topic Nizamuddin Railway Station, but because of some inconvenience I had to change my topic. Now my new topic is  Teen Murti Bhavan. Teen Murti Bhavan Teen Murti Bhavan The residence of our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Teen Murti Bhavan. Teen Murti Bhavan is a really peaceful place which has plenty of greenery along with knowledge.Teen Murti Bhavan has a neo-classical infrastructure with a military base. 3 statues Teen Murti Bhavan is originally named after the three lifesized statues that stands infront of Teen Murti Bhavan. These statues were made my Leonardo Jennings in 1922, to show respect to our brave soldiers who died in World War 1. These statues are made after 3 of our brave soldiers which traditionally belonged to Jodhpur, Mysore and Hyderabad. They served the Brtitish Indian Army. We are given this assignment in which we have to study about Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. So we went for several feild trips there. As I was observing everything I thought the information I gather there should be shared. So, here I am writing this post. Nizamuddin Railway Station Well, this time I have got a group assignment on Nizamuddin railway station, which is located in Nizamuddin, Humayun's Tomb, Nizamuddin East, New Delhi. Railway station location Nizamuddin railway station according to me is a good railway station,which beleives in promoting tourism and the slogan  "Incredible India."
