Material Basket

Hi everyone,

Well, I told you all that this blogpost will be about my final design, but it is not. In this blogpost I will like to show you all my Material Basket, another assignment given to us.

In this assignment we had to make something which has the exterior of a bag or a basket and which gives the essence of our research area. We tried to keep the exterior of the basket very formal as Teen Murti Bhavan is a gorverment area. And coloured it with the colours in Teen Murti Bhavan keeping in mind the colour palette (the colour proportions). We also did the pen drawing of it gated at it sides. 


When you open it you will see a lot of wooden texture at all it’s sides. Along with a grass matt to give an essence of the parks in Teen Murti Bhavan. We also sticked various books to give the essence of a library. And various photos along with the files (miniature) of Jawaharlal Nehru is also kept to give the essence of Museum. A satellite is also kept to give the essence of the Planetarium.

Hello everyone, I hope you are all liking my posts. Well, today I will be discussing about the Nehru Memorial Museum which is inside the Teen Murti Bhavan. NEHRU MEMORIAL MUSEUM The Nehru Memorial Museum started on 1st April' 1965, by recreating, rearranging all the Nehru Ji's stuff. Since that day, an annual lecture take place in Teen Murti Bhavan on April 1st every year. The lecture is named Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Foundation Day Lecture .  The museum opens is open all week except mondays. It's timings are from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The museum contains several rooms with manuscripts, letters and pictures from the Nehru’s Office. The whole museum gives you a glance of our pre and post independence movement.  Teen Murti Bhavan comes under the Ministry of Culture. History

Hello everyone, I hope you are finding my blog interesting. As i said in my last blog in this post I will be discussing about the history of Teen Murti Bhavan. HISTORY Teen Murti Bhavan was built in 1930 for the Commander-in-Chief of the British Indian Army . He had the second highest post in the Army. It was at that time called "the Flagstaff House". When India gained independence, the Britishers emptied the place.  Then Jawaharlal Nehru, our first Prime Minister, he accepted the Flagstaff House as his residence. From then it is called the Teen Murti Bhavan. Teen Murti Named after the 3 life-sized statues which stands in-front of the gates of Teen Murti Bhavan. Made in 1922 (made 7 years prior to the building). These statues are made of stone and bronze. Leonardo Jennings was the sculptor.
