Different rooms in the Museum

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all liking my posts. Well, in my last post I was talking about the Museum. In this post I will be talking about the various rooms inside the museum itself.

GROUND FLOOR

Guest Room

Guest Room
When you enter Nehru Memorial Museum the first room you will go through is the Guest Room. This guest room is recreated/rearranged by using the same furniture.

The Office

The Office

After the guest room there comes the library, which was originally the Office of Jawaharlal Nehru.
This gallery contains his images as child, it also captures even small and big events of his life; like him wearing a sacred thread, his studeies in England (First in Harrow and then at Trinity College Cambridge), his marriage, etc.

External Affair's Room 


External Affair's Room

Jawaharlal Nehru was a part of External Affair Ministry so thats why the office of External Affair Ministry is reconstructed in the premises of Teen Murti Bhavan.

Reception

Reception
After the gallery comes the recption. The recption is also kept the same. No one is allowed to enter the area. The area is cleaned on a daily basis and is also kept intact. 

SECOND FLOOR

Ball Room

Ball Room


As we come upstairs the first room we will come across is the Ball room. This Ball room is one of the indication that britishers made it because in traditional Indian architecture Ball room come. The ball room has wood flooring and fireplaces. All of it's furniture is rearranged. Well, the ball room now discusses about important projects after Nehru became our Prime Minister, like Foundation of Chandigarh, the IIT's, dams, etc.

Other Galleries

Other Galleries
Following the Ball room there will come several other galleries which will discuss about varipus topics; eg- Foundation of Indian National Congress with rareimages of the session in Bombay in 1885, revolutionaries like Bagha Jatin, Subhas Chandra Bose, etc.

Sitting Room

Sitting Room
This is the sitting room of Jawaharlal Nehru in Teen Murti Bhavan. This room is reserved the same no rearrangement took place here.

Study Room

Study Room
This is the study room in Teen Murti Bhavan. This room is also kept the same. This room looks like his personal library. Having a lot of old files and various books.

His Bedroom

His Bedroom
This is the Bedroom of Jawaharlal Nehru. This is the room in which he had his last breath. This room is kept intact no one is allowed to enter in it.


Indira Gandhi's room

Indira Gandhi's Room
This is the room of Indira Gandhi in Teen Murti Bhavan. She lived here rarely.

Central Hall of Parliament

Central Hall of Parliament
Central Hall of Parliament is the replica of the midnight of 15th August 1947, in which Jawaharlal Nehru gave his first speech called ‘Tryst with Destiny’. It has several lifesized statues and has the whole moment captured.

Hi, Hope you are all loving to know about Teen Murti Bhavan and are also planning to go there. And if not than I guess after reading this post you will. This post is about Nehru Planetarium. Nehru Planetarium Planetarium corridor There are about 5 Nehru Planetariums all around India. One of them is situated in Teen Murti Bhavan. It attraces about 2 lakh tourist per year.  This planetarium was inaugrated by Indira Gandhi on Feburary 6’ 1984. It has about 270 seats and is a dome shaped sky threatre. Nehru Memorial Museum

Hello everyone, I hope you are all liking my posts. Well, today I will be discussing about the Nehru Memorial Museum which is inside the Teen Murti Bhavan. NEHRU MEMORIAL MUSEUM The Nehru Memorial Museum started on 1st April' 1965, by recreating, rearranging all the Nehru Ji's stuff. Since that day, an annual lecture take place in Teen Murti Bhavan on April 1st every year. The lecture is named Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Foundation Day Lecture .  The museum opens is open all week except mondays. It's timings are from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The museum contains several rooms with manuscripts, letters and pictures from the Nehru’s Office. The whole museum gives you a glance of our pre and post independence movement.  Teen Murti Bhavan comes under the Ministry of Culture. Teen Murti Bhavan Introduction

Hello everyone, In my last post I talked about my topic Nizamuddin Railway Station, but because of some inconvenience I had to change my topic. Now my new topic is  Teen Murti Bhavan. Teen Murti Bhavan Teen Murti Bhavan The residence of our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Teen Murti Bhavan. Teen Murti Bhavan is a really peaceful place which has plenty of greenery along with knowledge.Teen Murti Bhavan has a neo-classical infrastructure with a military base. 3 statues Teen Murti Bhavan is originally named after the three lifesized statues that stands infront of Teen Murti Bhavan. These statues were made my Leonardo Jennings in 1922, to show respect to our brave soldiers who died in World War 1. These statues are made after 3 of our brave soldiers which traditionally belonged to Jodhpur, Mysore and Hyderabad. They served the Brtitish Indian Army.
